Hello, have you tried setting up your controller's buttons to trigger your clips/samples? I'm not sure about the type of controller you are using, but I have noticed often when I am using a new controller I have to edit the controller's parameters (buttons and knobs) within midi the midi map beforehand & tell it which button I would like to launch what clip/sample etc.Īlso if your samples are missing, specifically the one you are trying to trigger/play, you will not hear that sound until it is relinked (as it is not there).Ī possibility about your missing clips & scenes, you may have tried this already, but often times, after one has moved the original "host" file/folder to a new location after saving a project within Ableton, the next time the project is opened, the program will give notification that it cannot find your samples.Ī solution I have found that helps with this is to click the search "magnifying glass" next to where it says missing sample, which will take you to your file manager within ableton, your program should have no trouble finding the sample within your host folder, you can then click the "hot swap" symbol for that sample at which point ableton will ask you if you'd like it to search and relink all your missing files within that project/session.
